My Dream

Always an artsy & crafty type girl, my favorite part of summer camp, girl scouts, or school extracurricular was the arts and crafts portion of the of the activity. As an aunt, my most loved and memorable moments with my niece and her friends was time spent together making pottery or some other type of creative craft. Fast forward to full adulthood with a family, I took great pride & pleasure party planning for my son’s birthdays, taking the party theme to the next level in decorations, themed games and cakes. The common thread of it all is the sheer joy of brainstorming ideas, putting various unconventional pieces together to create works of beautiful art. Christmas at the Powell household is always an adventure as my family never knows what type of tree will unfold--be it a jolly snowman with full top hat, to an elf tree with elf legs peeking out. Taking the vision, staying up nights running combinations of materials in my mind’s eye until just the right style that speaks to the heart of the message and feeling I want to convey to anyone seeing my creation.

An advertiser, marketer, and educator by profession, I know God has gifted me to roll the creativity and vision I possess to not only make beauty but wrap it in a message that speaks to the beholder. My Dream is to create art that is a reminder to others of the beauty, promises, memories, and dreams they hold onto in their lives.
